PIZZA

Just say the word and my eyes light up!

If you’ve been around for a week or more, you likely know I LOVE pizza. All in all, I guess it’s safe to say Pizza is my favorite food. It’s easy, hits almost all the food groups, and is sooooo good. I love ordering Pizza in, that is a treat for our family! But on a typical night, I will use a frozen pizza from the freezer. This recipe is going to show you how to take an ordinary, okay tasting pizza and turn it gourmet. My mom calls this “doctoring it up” which is basically making it taste better!

And, what’s best, you likely have everything in the refrigerator already.

So, take your typical frozen pizza out of the freezer. Or dough if you prefer. I know Trader Joe’s has some good dough in the fridge section but I am not shopping there as frequently. SO I will typically buy what ever is BOGO at the grocery store. My favorite so far has been the Digorno pepperoni, or supreme, rising crust.

Get your ingredients. I have used cooked bacon, bacon bits, green olives, black olives, this time I used:

Ingredients

Jalepenos

Minced garlic

Chopped red onion

Banana pepper

Fresh basil

Red pepper

Parmesan cheese

Directions

Finely chop each ingredient

Layer by layer add it to the frozen pizza

Before the pizza reaches it finishes turn on the broiler 550 degrees for just a minute or 30 seconds.

Use a pizza cutter to cut and top with Parm cheese and Red Pepper.
